Internazionale has put an end to Atalanta’s impressive unbeaten streak. The team from Milan won 0-2 on Saturday-evening at the formation from Bergamo. Juventus finished the Serie A with a defeat against AS Roma: 1-3.
Danilo D’Ambrosio opened the score for Inter against Atalanta in the first minute. The Italian headed home from a cross by Ashley Young, who determined the final score in the twentieth minute. The Englishman curled the ball beautifully from the edge of the sixteen-meter area.
Stefan de Vrij played the entire game at Inter and Marten de Roon did that at Atalanta. Hans Hateboer came in half an hour before the home team.
Atalanta suffered its first loss since January 20, when it lost 1-2 to SPAL. After that, the formation of coach Gian Piero Gasperini remained unbeaten for no less than seventeen league matches in a row. In addition, the team also broke a club record with nine wins in a row. Two more Champions League games were won in the meantime.
Thanks to the handsome streak, Atalanta finished third in Serie A with a record 78 points, securing another Champions League ticket. Inter finished second with the victory in Bergamo, four points more than number three.

Immobile scores Lazio’s 36th goal
Juventus became Italy’s ninth consecutive champion last Sunday, but lost to Roma in its last league game. Gonzalo Higuaín gave ‘The Old Lady’ the lead in the fifth minute, but Nikola Kalinic and Diego Perotti (twice) then gave the Romans the win.
Matthijs de Ligt was missing due to an injury at Juventus. Justin Kluivert got a little over fifteen minutes of playing time at Roma, which finished fifth and was already guaranteed a Europa League ticket. Juventus ends only one point above Inter due to the defeat.
Lazio also ended the season with a loss. The team of coach Simone Inzaghi lost 3-1 to Napoli due to goals from Fabián Ruiz, Lorenzo Insigne (penalty) and Matteo Politano. Ciro Immobile scored on behalf of Lazio and made his 36th league goal of the season. With that he secured the Golden Shoe.
AC Milan did manage to win its last league game. The ‘Rossoneri’ were 3-0 too strong for Cagliari in San Siro thanks to an own goal from former AZ and Heracles defender Ragnar Klavan and hits from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Samu Castillejo. Ibrahimovic also missed a penalty for Milan, which finished sixth.

Vormer loses cup final with Club Brugge
In Belgium, Ruud Vormer grabbed the double with Club Brugge. The national champion lost the cup final against Royal Antwerp FC in Brussels with 0-1. Lior Refaelov was crowned match winner against his former club. Captain Vormer completed the ninety minutes at Club.
It is the third time that Antwerp has won the Belgian cup, which has been called the Croky Cup since 2015. Previously, last year’s number four in the Jupiler Pro League won the award in 1955 and 1992.
In Portugal FC Porto did secure the double. The Dutch champion won the cup final against Benfica 1-2 with two hits from Chancel Mbemba. It is the seventeenth time that Porto has won the national cup.
Porto played with ten men from the 38th minute by a red card for Luis Díaz. Trainer Sérgio Conceição was also dismissed moments later. Substitute Carlos Vinicus made the connection goal for Benfica in the final phase, but there was no longer an extension.
