International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste 2024

The 5th International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste takes place September 29, 2024.

Launched by the United Nations in 2020, this day is an opportunity to recall that the fight against food waste is a lever to ensure food security for all, and in particular for the most vulnerable, affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The fifth edition of the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste will highlight the critical importance of securing financing to scale up action to reduce food loss and waste, contribute to achieving climate goals and advance the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
