Gilles Vanden Burre was the guest at 7:50 a.m. on Bel RTL Matin. The head of the Ecolo-Groen group in the Federal Parliament answered Martin Buxant’s questions. The MP spoke in particular regarding the next elections.
“Would I agree to govern with the PTB? I meet them every day in the Federal Parliament, and each week that passes, I find that their way of doing politics bothers me. It is a populist way of do politics. Basically, in the ideas he carries, there are things to which I am sensitive, such as the redistribution of wealth, the fact of leaving no one behind. There are fights that I can understand, but I don’t share the way of doing things at all.”
Gilles Vanden Burre also gave his opinion on the Prime Minister candidate among the environmentalists. “We are a collective among environmentalists. In Brussels, we have designated Zakia Khattabi as minister-president candidate. This would potentially be a first in the capital. As Prime Minister, there are enough colleagues who might do it, but I would choose also Zakia Khattabi. Plus, she’s my colleague from Brussels.”
