When WWE introduced the new World Heavyweight Championship and made it exclusive to the Monday Night RAW brand, it eliminated WWE/Universal Champion Roman Reigns going to both shows.
Rumors then swirled that the company would create a new title to give away to the man who has been carrying the torch for over 1000 days now.
Late night, Triple H showed up on Friday Night SmackDown this week to unveil spankin’ brand new title design.
It looks a lot like the WWE Title, except gold with lots of diamonds. It’s clear the company wanted to stick with the same basic design while updating it in a meaningful way, and most importantly boost sales for championship collectors.
