LEGO and Nintendo have collaborated several times before on different Super Mario series, but in general the sets were geared towards a younger audience (The Mighty Bowser being one exception). Now, the pair have unveiled a new set that once once more seems tailor-made for an older and more mature audience. Called the Super Mario Piranha Plant, this set holds 500 bricks and can serve as a centerpiece for your home or office. According to LEGO, senior designer Carl Merriam added: “When designing the Piranha Plant, it felt important to capture its unique characteristics and ensure the set’s placement reflected its iconic pose. I’m extremely proud of the final result, from the mouth to the Leaves and stems, we managed to perfectly depict the menacing nature of the Piranha Plant! Super Mario Piranha Plant will launch on 6 November 2023 and will retail for €64.99/£57.99. Here’s the ad:
