Lina Ismail – “An-Nahar”
Citizen A.M.G. (34 years) from the town of Arsal killed his wife, Salwa K.H. According to Al-Nahar, the 32-year-old victim, a mother of a child, was killed by her husband with a sharp object on the back of her head and face. They shot her inside their house, and she was admitted to Al-Rahma Hospital in the town, a lifeless body with many bruises covering her face and body as a result of being severely beaten, in addition to the presence of a toxic substance inside her body.
Salwa did not survive, and she is not the first victim of domestic violence at the hands of the killer. Her first wife, who tried to strangle her a week ago, hung her from her hands on the balcony of the house, and she miraculously escaped.
The husband deliberately assaulted his two wives without deterrence, as long as the Lebanese laws are not strict, and the harshness of customs and traditions, as the victim Salwa was denied the protection of her family following she married her killer without their consent, and today a lifeless body was returned to her family’s home, while the security forces were unable to arrest her killer.
