KIEV – Ukraine has accused the Russian army of shooting and killing surrendering Ukrainian soldiers. A video was also released of Russian soldiers pointing guns at a Ukrainian soldier who was regarding to surrender and shooting him while he was lying down. The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has launched an investigation into the incident. This would be a war crime if proven. Ukraine has repeatedly accused Russian troops of violating international law.
At the same time, former President Petro Poroshenko was stopped at the border as he tried to travel there to meet the Hungarian Prime Minister. This is because according to the military law, people between the ages of 18 and 60 years have to get prior permission to leave the country.
