In its iOS 17 update, available since Monday, September 18, Apple has added new ringtones and new notification sounds. But these changes do not please everyone.
Indeed, many users complain regarding the volume of these alerts. The classic “Tri-tone” alert has been replaced by “Rebound/Rebond”, but its volume is lower, or too discreet, some would say.
Et as highlighted by the iMore site“To make matters worse, there is no way to change the app’s notification sound, so users who are unhappy with this change have no way to go back. So they end up with a notification sound that doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do: warn the user of something.“
