Dubai: Iran says it is ready for an open discussion regarding the security of the Gulf region. Iran’s foreign minister spoke on telephone with the foreign ministers of the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Iraq. Iran’s consensus move comes at a time when the United States continues to make strong moves to secure the support of the Gulf countries.
Apart from the six Gulf countries, Biden also held talks with Iraq and Jordan. Biden had said that joint action is needed once morest Iran. In this situation, Iran has come forward with a decisive move. At the same time, it is not clear what is the reaction of the Gulf countries to Iran’s new move.
