Iranian Navy seizes a ship carrying smuggled fuel – Al-Manar TV website – Lebanon

The Public Relations Officer of the Second Naval Region of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Bushehr Governorate announced that the forces of this command managed to seize a ship carrying smuggled fuel in the Gulf region.

Colonel Gholamhossein Hosseini added in a statement today, Friday, “During the inspection of this ship, 250,000 liters of smuggled fuel were discovered,” and announced the detention of seven crew members of this ship to complete the investigation procedures and legal steps.

He said, “The fight once morest smuggling, especially fuel, in the Persian Gulf is one of the important tasks of the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which is carried out through information monitoring, operations, and surveillance.”

“This ship and its crew will be handed over to the competent authorities to follow up the legal procedures,” Hosseini added.
