Iranian Oil Minister warns of volatility and stresses: Markets need Iran’s oil

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji has warned of the fluctuations in global oil markets, pointing out that the latter needs to increase the pumping of Iranian oil.

The minister continued, according to what was reported by the official Iranian news agency: “The recent fluctuations in the global economy indicate a high rate of inflation, and consequently a marked increase in fuel prices in many countries.”

He added, “I have repeatedly stressed in recent months that the current conditions in the global oil markets require the return of Iranian crude to meet part of the needs of customers and restore balance and calm to these markets.”

The minister stressed his country’s readiness, “as the largest oil and gas reserves in the world, to raise, as soon as possible, the ceiling of its crude production to reach what it was before the embargo,” according to the Iranian agency quoted by IRNA.
