Former National Team player, Irene Gonçalves, was invited to participate in the world football stars tournament, which takes place between the 1st and 10th of September this year, in the Rwandan city of Kigali.
According to the document to which this newspaper had access, more than 150 legends of the great sport will be present at the event.
The initiative is from the Veteran Clubes World Championship, a global platform that aims to unite renowned veterans of world sport to share experiences from various fields, taking into account the sustainable development of the planet.
In addition to the football tournament, economic forums on peace, education, health, business and tourism are planned.
Irene Gonçalves will join names like Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Jay-Jay Okocha, Patrick Mboma, Michael Owen, Diego Forlán, Rivaldo and many others.
It should be noted that Irene Gonçalves was invited because she was elected, in 2008, the best player in Southern Africa
