(CNN Spanish) — The National Association of Interpreters (Andi) of Mexico announced this Wednesday the death of his partner Irma Serrano, known as “La Tigresa”. The publication did not detail the reason for her death.
She was a renowned ranchera and corrido singer, as well as an actress. She also dabbled in politics.
Serrano, originally from Chiapas, was 89 years old. She started her career at a young age and participated in numerous movies and soap operas, as well as plays.
His career also included several record productions.
In the 1990s, she served as a senator for her home state, as part of the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD) parliamentary group.
