Islamic Finance: Togo repays 13.443 billion FCFA of debts

The State of Togo will proceed on February 17, 2023 to the payment of half-yearly profits and the partial repayment of the capital of its Islamic bond loan called “Sukuk State of Togo 6.50% 2016-2026” for a total amount of 13.443 billion FCFA ($22.854 million). The half-yearly profits amount to 2.834 billion FCFA and the capital to 10.608 billion FCFA. The Togolese authorities had launched during the period from July 20 to August 10, 2016 a public call for savings on the financial market of the West African Monetary Union (WAMU), a Sukuk or Islamic bond for an amount of 150 billion
