Israel Cruz, elected councilman of Tultepec, Edomex, is killed

MEXICO CITY.- Israel Cruz Carrisozaelected councilor of Tultepec, State of Mexico by Citizen Movementwas murdered yesterday Saturday.

Local media reported that an armed subject entered a tortilla factory, owned by Cruz Carrisoza, in the The Quarry colonyin Tultepec.

The subject repeatedly shot at the elected councilor.

Paramedics arrived at the scene but could only confirm that the politician no longer had vital signs.

Elements of the Municipal Police, State y National guard An operation was launched to locate the aggressor. No arrests have been reported in the case so far.

Citizens’ Movement demands death of Israel Cruz Carrisoza

Citizen Movement, the party that Cruz Carrisoza joined this year, lamented the death of the elected councilman and demanded that the authorities guarantee that there is justice for his case.

“We raise our voices to ask that the necessary actions be taken to end the climate of violence that exists in the State of Mexico,” he said. Juan ZepedaMC coordinator in Edomex.

“Today, one more family from the State of Mexico mourns, out of the thousands who have suffered from insecurity in the state,” he added.

Cruz Carrisoza was director of Civil defense and of Firefighters of the municipality in PRD governments.
