Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, strongly criticized today the observance of a minute’s silence in the UN Security Council for the president and foreign minister of Iran, who were killed in a helicopter crash, yesterday Sunday.

“You saw right. The Security Council observed a minute’s silence today in memory of the assassinated president of Iran, (Ebrahim) Raisi. What a shame!” the Israeli ambassador emphasized in a video message shared on social media.

Accusing the UN Security Council of not making substantial efforts to free the Hamas hostages, Gilad Erdan criticized the members of the SA. who bowed their heads to the memory of someone who “was responsible for thousands of deaths in Iran, Israel and around the world”.

“What’s next?” Will the Security Council observe a minute’s silence in memory of Hitler?” he asked.

“The UN Security Council has become a threat to world peace and security,” the Israeli diplomat argued.
