The ongoing war, which completed 14 weeks yesterday, began when Hamas attacked Israel, causing, according to Israeli authorities, around 1,200 deaths, in addition to kidnapping 240 people, of which more than 120 are still in captivity.

Israeli retaliation in the Gaza Strip left more than 22,000 dead and triggered a serious humanitarian crisis due to the collapse of hospitals, lack of medicine, food, water and electricity, according to authorities in the Palestinian enclave.
