Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said that deepening the military operation in the Gaza Strip ensures that Israel will reach a realistic agreement to return the detainees.

During his talk regarding the Israeli military operation, Gallant pointed out that the Israeli army “penetrated the core core” of the Hamas movement.

Gallant said: “You can see here a small part of the things… missiles, bombs, mines, a lot of maps, means of communication, documents, computers… Obtaining all of these things leads to having more intelligence information.”

He added: “We have reached the sensitive core of Hamas and are using their intelligence information once morest them, using their weapons once morest them, and detonating them on the ground. All of this is possible because of access to the capabilities center of the Hamas movement.”

At the end of his speech, he stressed: “The more we deepen these operations, the closer we will get to a realistic deal to return our kidnappers.”

Hamas threatens

For its part, Hamas confirmed, on Saturday, that any Israeli attack on the city of Rafah would mean “torpedoing the prisoner exchange negotiations” between the two parties.

The movement also accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of evading the entitlements of the exchange deal by committing a new humanitarian disaster in Rafah.
