Vladimir Putin, in his greeting to the staff and veterans of the Foreign Ministry on the occasion of the Day of the Diplomatic Worker, said that Russia should seek to obtain from the United States and its NATO allies comprehensive, legally secured guarantees of Russia’s security.
“The situation in the world is becoming increasingly turbulent and tense. This, of course, requires additional persistent efforts to ensure strategic stability and counter emerging threats and challenges, first of all, by seeking comprehensive, legally secured guarantees of our country’s security from the United States and its NATO allies,” Putin said.
He also called the work on strengthening the rule of international law and the central role of the UN relevant and said that Russian diplomacy contributes to the settlement of regional conflicts and crisis situations.
