Short video sharing application TikTok is surprisingly testing a feature to upload videos of up to half an hour, following which it is likely to allow uploading of longer videos on the platform. .

Tik Tok is basically a short video sharing application and that is why it gained popularity.

But other platforms like Instagram, Facebook and YouTube also upload longer videos, so TikTok also introduced a feature to upload longer videos last year.

TikTok also allowed uploading of 15-minute videos in 2023, before the platform allowed 10 minutes while earlier the platform started uploading videos of up to 5 minutes.

Initially videos of one minute duration were uploaded on Tik Tok, which was soon reduced to one and a half minutes and for many years only 90 seconds videos were allowed to be uploaded on the platform.

But now the news has come out that the feature of sharing videos of 30 minutes duration is being tested on Tik Tok.

According to the technology website, the platform allowed limited content creators to upload videos of half an hour duration.

The report said that following the successful trial of the said feature, it is likely to allow uploading of long videos of up to 30 minutes on Tik Tok and the said feature is likely to be introduced by the middle of this year.
