A careless 28-year-old computer engineer, Kumar, shared on Twitter that he accidentally took the wrong one. The experience of taking someone else’s luggage and returning it to the luggage owner through hacking.

Earlier, Kumar took the low-cost IndiGo flight from Batra to Bangalore. When he returned home, he found that he had taken the wrong one, which was exactly the same as his own, but belonged to another passenger. In order to retrieve his luggage and return the wrong one to others, Kumar tried to contact IndiGo. The reply was that he might not disclose other people’s information to him because of privacy protection. If IndiGo can contact the passenger who lost the luggage, it will be inform him. However, Kumar has never received a reply from IndiGo, so he found the record of the owner of the luggage through the tag on the luggage, and then tried to log in through the website to try to obtain the other party’s information, but failed.

Unable to do anything, Kumar pressed the F12 key of the keyboard to open the background of the IndiGo website, and then found the other party’s personal information and successfully exchanged the luggage. Kumar stressed that his actions did not interfere with the operation of the IndiGo website, and that passengers should avoid uploading boarding pass photos to social platforms. IndiGo did not respond to Kumar’s hacking of the system, saying only that it had tried to contact another passenger, but the other person did not answer the phone. Further investigations will be conducted into the incident.
