Budapest – Gianmarco Tamberi not only put on a great show for hours at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest on Wednesday evening, but also impressed in terms of performance. The Tokyo Olympic champion from Italy won the high jump with 2.36 m in front of the Americans JuVaughn Harrison and Mutaz Essa Barshim from Qatar (2.33). In Japan, Tamberi and the now three-time former world champion Barshim had won gold with 2.37 m each.
