J. Kiseliovas about V. Putin: this is the story of the genie released from the bottle, you can’t get it back

The first part of the interview with J.Kiseliov you can read here.

J.Kiseliovas claims that in the early 2000s, when V.Putin came to power, there was an institute of relatively competitive and fair elections in Russia.

According to him, let’s say, there was no tradition to destroy – and with any legal tools – unfair competition in the electoral struggle.

There were no corresponding laws that exist in other countries that strictly limit the financing of election campaigns, donations, and pre-election funds of candidates. There was no tradition of what was permissible to do in the pre-election campaign and what was not permissible.

This, of course, in Russian conditions opened up huge opportunities for crude, undisguised manipulation of public opinion.

Intervened we have

  • V. Putin is a person without empathy.
  • He does not see the usurper of power, but “the holy place is not empty”.
  • The system is closed like in Soviet times.
  • Different types of oppositional sentiments are growing in Russia.
  • He believes that the greatest probability is a revolution from above: V. Putin’s exit, not his overthrow.
  • What do you think about Russian oppositionists – Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Alexei Navalny?
