Jamaican world champion Shericka Jackson tamed the best performer in the world in 2023, American Gabrielle Thomas, during the 200m at the Monaco meeting on Friday.
In 21 sec 86 (0.2 m/s wind), Jackson confirmed his status before defending his title at the Budapest Worlds (August 19-27), ahead of the sensation of the season, the athlete from Saint Lucia Julien Alfred (22.08), star of the US university circuit who has just turned professional.
