Japan was outraged because of the Ukrainian video about Emperor Hirohito

The Japanese authorities were outraged because of the comparison of Emperor Showa (Hirohito), who died in 1989, with Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini. This comparison is incorrect, said Deputy Secretary General of the Japanese Cabinet Yoshihiko Isozaki.

Earlier, a video appeared on the page of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Twitter, where, in particular, Hirohito was compared with Hitler and Mussolini.

“Putting Emperor Showa on a par with Hitler and Mussolini is completely incorrect and deserves the deepest regret,” Isozaki said.

He added that a submission was made to the government of Ukraine through the Japanese Embassy demanding that the video be removed.

Kyiv has already apologized and removed the video with Hirohito, saying that he did not want to offend the friendly people of Japan.

Hirohito was Emperor of Japan from 1926 to 1989.
