Jason Vargas | Farewell in the U: a player leaves for Qatar football

Jeisson Vargas’ stage at Universidad de Chile came to an end. As reported by El Ciudadano, the winger will leave the country and will join Al-Rayyan from Qatar, a cast led by Nicolás Córdova. The move caused surprise on social media.

The details of his new contract are unknown, but the truth is that Vargas will live his third experience in foreign football. Previously, the attacker was a member of Estudiantes de La Plata, in Argentina, and the Montreal Impact of the MLS.

Vargas, 25, arrived at the Azul Sports Center in 2022, following being the protagonist of good campaigns at Unión La Calera. However, his level with the student shirt never generated good feelings.

In the end, the player opted out of the U and left the following numbers: He played 22 games, starting 13 of them, and did not record goals or assists.
