JOHOR BARU, March 1 – the popular Johor Baru Car-Free Morning event will pause this month in observance of Ramadan, with activities scheduled to resume on April 13, officials announced today.This temporary cessation allows the community to focus on the religious observances and festivities associated with the holy month.

The Johor Baru city Council (MBJB) also announced that OCBC Bank (M) Bhd will return as the primary sponsor for the second consecutive year, demonstrating a strong commitment to the program’s environmental and community engagement goals. According to Johor Baru mayor datuk Mohd Haffiz Ahmad,the bank has significantly expanded it’s contribution.”Along with its initial sponsorship of 100 bicycles for the public to use for free, the bank has sponsored another 100 bicycles this year,” he stated, emphasizing OCBC’s dedication to the program.
