Jeju Island, South Korea – In a significant move to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the 17th Superintendent, the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education has announced a series of commemorative events titled ‘Communication and Accompanying Day.’ Aimed at reflecting on past achievements and charting a future course for Jeju education, this initiative promises to involve students, guardians, staff, and citizens in various activities.

Sports and Athletic Activities

The festivities kick off at 8:00 am with ‘Jeju Morning Athletic Activities’ at Ara Middle School. Fifty students will participate in soccer, basketball, and badminton matches alongside the superintendent. This early morning event sets the tone for a day of interaction and camaraderie.

Integrity and Conversations with the Superintendent

From 10:30 am onwards, the event moves to the main office with the theme ‘Time for Integrity with Employees.’ Highlights include a conversation with the superintendent and a performance by a hot orchestra. An inclusive luncheon will follow in the cafeteria, providing a platform for shared meals and insights.

Jeju Forest Road: Connecting with Nature

At 2:30 pm, the centered activity ‘Jeju Forest Road’ will take place in Halla Saint-Forest. Over 100 citizens are expected to join in a walk-through the forest with the superintendent, discussing educational policies and future directions. This nature-infused dialogue aims to immerse participants in the natural beauty of Jeju while addressing vital educational concerns.

Future Communication Concert

Concluding the day at 6:30 pm, the ‘Future Communication Concert’ will be held at the Jeju National University Cultural Center. Co-hosted by the Jeju Provincial Office and the Metropolitan Office of Education, the concert will be centered around the theme ‘Companion to Jeju Future.’ Over 400 public officials from both the Metropolitan Government and the Office of Education will join this occasion, marked by dialogue sessions with the governor and the superintendent.

A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Office of Education emphasized the significance of the event, stating, “The 3rd anniversary event is a place to practice the philosophy of Jeju education, which is created by the DOE, the school, and the community.” They added, “We will realize sustainable future education based on trust and empathy with the education community.”
