LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State senior guard Jemel Jones has been recognized for his outstanding performance this season, earning a spot on the All-Conference USA Second Team, Conference USA announced on Monday, March 9th. The recognition comes as the Aggies prepare for the CUSA Championships, marking a strong finish to the regular season for the Chicago, Illinois native.

Jones has emerged as a key offensive force for New Mexico State, consistently leading the team in scoring. Averaging 17.8 points per game, he’s tied for third in Conference USA, demonstrating his ability to consistently find the basket. His efficiency from the field – 44% 38% from beyond the arc – and his reliability at the free-throw line (83%, sixth in the conference) build him a multifaceted threat, according to NM State Sports.
