During the interview, the star spoke of course regarding her recent marriage to Ben Affleck, but also how their first separation 17 years ago affected her career. Lopez said, “It was so painful following the breakup. When we called off the wedding 20 years ago, it was the biggest pain of my life. I felt like I was going to die,” she said honestly. “The breakup sent me on a downward spiral for 18 years where I mightn’t get it right. But now, 20 years later, our story ends happily.”
