In the finale of the SRF program “May I ask?” Tears flowed: Jesse Ritch (28) danced his way into the hearts of the audience with his dance partner Flavia Landolfi and secured the victory of this year’s season.
With their three dances in total, the dance couple not only got the most points from the audience, but also from the jury. With a total of 258 points, they were the winners at the end of the evening with a huge gap to their competitors.
“You only do that once in a lifetime”
“I’m still on cloud nine. It was incredibly nice for us to be able to win this show so clearly », said the Bernese to BLICK one day after his victory. That is an incredibly nice recognition for her performance.
“For me, the main focus was on the fun factor. I was very happy that I could learn to dance. It’s something you only do once in a lifetime. ” The fact that he can now even go back to Thun BE with the trophy is the “I-Tüpfli”.
Emotional moments in the final
His personal highlight was the final, as he says. He performed the last dance to his own song “Schnufe” and even moved the jury to tears. The Bernese told one of the saddest moments of his life: his marriage, which failed in 2019.
Juror Fabio Quattrocchi was particularly affected by this, he could no longer hold back his tears. The juror not only rated Ritch’s dance performances, he also maintains a personal relationship with the singer. As he said in tears after the performance, his wife was the best friend of Ritch’s ex-wife. Thus Quattrocchi also experienced the marriage of the two first hand.
At the end, the juror addressed the 28-year-old with emotional words and emphasized: “For you and me, there could have been no better way to end this show.”
Even Jesse Ritch himself could draw a line with it. «Through this dance I was able to put all my emotions on the floor. That felt incredibly good, ”he says.
The jury’s reaction touched him enormously – especially that of Fabio Quattrocchi: “I could hardly look him in the eye, it almost upset me myself.” The response from the audience was also huge. «I never expected my story to be so popular. I received an incredible amount of messages, including from people I don’t know. ”
Bigna Silberschmidt is runner-up
“10vor10” presenter Bigna Silberschmidt (35) also impressed the audience with her dances. Thanks to many votes, she got second place on the show. The Basel acrobat Jason Brügger (27) landed in third place, and ex-Miss Switzerland Karina Berger (52) just missed the podium with fourth place.
Ritch could finish with the past
One day after the final, the winner has mixed feelings: “On the one hand, I’m sad that it’s over. I will miss dancing very much and have found a good friend in my dance coach Flavia Landolfi. »
At the same time, with his final freestyle, he was able to shed a huge burden that he had carried around for a long time. That is why he is now looking forward to the coming period and looks forward to the future with optimism. “I am happy and look forward to everything that comes,” he says. Even though the show was over, he didn’t want to give up dancing entirely. But now he’s working on his dialect album.
Because of the corona pandemic, it is currently difficult to make many plans for the future, but he still hopes to be able to perform live with his music again soon: “I miss the stage very much.” (frk)
