Jipyeong Law Firm Appoints New Head of Construction & Real Estate Practice

Law firm Jipyong has appointed Jeong Won as the new head of its Construction and Real Estate division, the firm announced on Thursday. Jeong, a graduate of the 30th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute, will serve a two-year term beginning in March 2026 and extending through the end of 2027.

The appointment follows a leadership restructuring at Jipyong last year, which saw Kim Ji-hong and Lee Haeng-gyu, both public recruitment hires, take on prominent management roles, according to a statement released by the firm. Jeong’s appointment is being viewed as a move to further strengthen the firm’s leadership, particularly within a key practice area.

Jipyong’s announcement highlighted Jeong’s extensive experience in the construction and real estate sectors. Jeong previously worked at the firm since 2004, specializing in related legal matters.

According to a report by Sisajournal, the appointment is part of a broader effort to reinforce the firm’s leadership following changes initiated by Kim and Lee. The Joseilbo reported that Jeong’s expertise encompasses areas such as administrative law and litigation.

The law firm, located in Seoul, too lists Jeong Won as the advertising responsibility lawyer on its official website. His profile on the legal professionals directory, Lfind, details his specialization in real estate, administrative, construction, lease and general administrative law, with information on 272 cases he has handled.
