US President Joe Biden, 80, who is seeking a second term in 2024, said in an interview broadcast Friday that his advanced age has brought him abundant wisdom.
“I have gained a great deal of wisdom, and I know more than the vast majority of people,” Biden said, in his first interview since the official launch of his campaign last week to an MSNBC journalist.
Biden, a Democrat who will be 86 at the end of a second term, added, “I am more experienced than anyone who has ever run for office (presidency). And I think I have proven that I was honorable and competent as well.”
Joe Biden rarely addresses the issue of his age, which is his main obstacle to voters.
And in 2024, he may once more face Republican Donald Trump, now 76, in the race for the White House.
