Private sources told Al-Riyadiya that Portuguese Jorge Jesus, coach of Al-Hilal’s first football team, asked the administration to contact a number of clubs in order to play trial matches during the suspension period, next January, coinciding with the Saudi national team’s participation in the 2023 Asian Cup, organized in Qatar.
The same sources stated that the team management, accompanied by the technical staff, decided to organize an internal camp for the players, which would include morning and evening training, in addition to developing a nutritional program for them. The technical staff had granted the players an extended leave, extending until January 15, following finishing the Al-Fayhaa match in the 19th round of the Saudi Roshan League, which Al-Azraq won 2-0 the day before yesterday.
It is noteworthy that the suspension period extends for regarding 46 days, and the league will return in the 20th round in mid-February.
