Jorge Martin (Ducati-Pramac) scored a double blow on the Mandalika circuit in Lombok. The 25-year-old Spaniard won the Indonesian Grand Prix sprint race to take the lead in the MotoGP world championship.

Only 6th on the starting grid, Jorge Martin took control of this race with 5 laps remaining. Imperial, he won with 1”131 ahead of Luca Marini (Ducati), 2nd following having held the lead for a long time, and 2”081 over another Italian, Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati), 3rd, to pick his 6th success in the last 7 races (sprints included).

Now ex-leader of the world championship, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) must be content with an 8th place, more than 5 seconds behind. The Italian, who nevertheless limited the damage following starting in 13th position, is 7 lengths behind Jorge Martin in the general classification. He will try to relaunch his actions on Sunday during the 15th of the 20 GPs this MotoGP season.
