Judgment reserved on the plea of ​​acquittal of the Khawaja brothers

The Accountability Court of Lahore reserved its decision on the plea of ​​acquittal by Aja Saad Rafiq and Khawaja Salman Rafiq in the Paragon Housing Society reference.

Federal Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique appeared in the Accountability Court Lahore in the Paragon Housing Society reference, where his lawyer argued the pleas for acquittal.

Lawyer Amjad Pervaiz said that Khawaja Saad Rafiq and Salman Rafiq are neither shareholders nor sponsors nor directors of Paragon. There is no possibility of conviction in this case because there is no crime. So far all the witnesses of NAB have been recorded, they might not bring anything on record. The court should accept the acquittal pleas of both.

The Accountability Court Lahore reserved its decision following the hearing on the acquittal pleas of the Khawaja brothers. The court also reserved judgment on the acquittal pleas of co-accused Farhan, Nadeem Zia and Umar Zia.
