Montpellier – Austria’s national judo team remained without a medal at the European Championships in Montpellier on Saturday, like the day before. However, Wachid Borchashvili was close in the up to 81 kg class; following his pool victory, the Upper Austrian suffered narrow defeats once morest the eventual Turkish title holder Vedat Albyrak and the German Dominic Ressel. Another ÖJV quintet was eliminated early. On Sunday, six more ÖJV athletes will be in action at the end of the European Championship.
