Juror Balázs Ekker talks about Karina Sarkissova’s departure from Dancing Stars

“I would have expected a lot more from you. If there’s only so much inside, then that’s not courage, it’s madness,” said the strict juror Balázs Ekker at ex-ballerina Karina Sarkissovas appearance in the first Dancing Stars show.

She mightn’t convince with her quick step. For health reasons, she even had to give up completely (the KURIER reported).

The KURIER asked Ekker how he judged Sarkissova’s departure – and lo and behold, the strict Hungarian can also be gentler.

“It might sound weird, but I’m terribly sorry that she’s not going further,” he says.

“It was a big excitement for her and, I think, for the whole Dancing Stars society as well, that she went from the jury to the ballroom. She’s been a dancer all her life and she’s also a very strong personality. Would have I’m really interested in what this whole Dancing Stars thing and ballroom and latin is doing to her.”

By the way, Ekker himself might imagine changing back from the jury to the floor under one condition.

“If I might get my body and my skills back ten years ago, then I’d love to. But unfortunately I won’t get it from God, but if he would give it to me, then I’ll do it!”
