Justice for Natalia Manríquez Sepúlveda: Uncovering the Mysterious Hotel Murder in the United States

The family lives a nightmare Natalia Manríquez Sepúlvedaa 35-year-old Chilean mother who was murdered, under mysterious circumstances, in a hotel in the United States.

Natalia worked as a maid at the Super 8 Hotel in the city of Council Bluffs, in the state of Iowa. Early on September 7, her body was found lifeless inside one of the rooms.

The precise causes of her death are still a matter of investigation, however, a security camera captured a man leaving the same room, just moments before she was found dead.

This is Jesse Smith, 49, who was arrested on September 14, as he was a fugitive for other crimes, accused of being a sexual offender.

Natalia Manríquez’s family organized a campaign on Instagram “@justicia_para_natalia”.

I had reported a stalker

Laura Sepúlveda is Natalia’s mother and told LUN that days before, her daughter had told her on the phone: “Mommy, where I work there is a man who is constantly harassing me, telling me that I am pretty, just things like that…”.

He promised his mother that he would warn his bosses at the hotel regarding the subject. It was the last thing they talked regarding. Days later, a friend of Natalia called her to inform her that she was found dead.

Now, the family is in the process of repatriating his body. A painful and difficult situation, since they were told that they had to bear the high expenses.

“She told me that she was going to go far away to work to help us and when she raised the most money, she would come and we would both work here at home. There was a dream and desire to be with me and her son once more,” commented the hurt mother.
