The Justice Party announced that it would immediately enter into the fast-track process, that is, the fast-track agenda for the special prosecution bill to uncover the so-called ‘5 billion club’ and Mrs. Kim Kun-hee’s stock price manipulation suspicions.

Justice Party floor leader Lee Eun-joo said at the general assembly held at the National Assembly today, “The ‘5 billion club’ special prosecutor law can be promoted by designating the original bill that passed the 1st subcommittee of the judiciary committee as a fast-track agenda.”

He then said, “We will come up with a reasonable plan in consultation with the Democratic Party regarding the special prosecutor bill for first lady Kim Kun-hee, who has different opinions on the scope of the investigation and the method of recommending a special prosecutor.”

Representative Lee added, “As much time has already been delayed, we will speed up the discussion with the goal of presenting it at the plenary session the day following tomorrow.”

As a result, the Democratic Party and the Justice Party are expected to push for a fast-track vote on the ‘5 billion club’ special prosecutor bill and the first lady Kim Kun-hee special prosecutor bill at the plenary session of the National Assembly on the 27th.

According to the National Assembly Act, the consent of more than 180 members, three-fifths of the current lawmakers, is required for fast-track processing.
