After three defeats en suite – the record champions’ longest negative series since the 2023 semi-final comparison with Salzburg – the Red Jackets celebrated their seventh success against the Caps en suite with a 5:3 in Vienna. This season was the second edition of this traditional duel. The Graz 99ers slipped to 0:4 in Asiago, Fehervar won 2:1 in Ljubljana.
