Kamal Haasan’s ‘Alavanthan’ is back in theatres. The film is being re-released to coincide with the film’s 22nd anniversary. Produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu has informed regarding this through X. The film is being re-screened in 1000 theaters. But the re-release date has not been released.
Directed by Suresh Krishna in 2001, the film hit the theaters on November 16. Kamal Haasan appeared in a double role in the action psycho thriller film Alavanthan. The technical excellence of the film did not attract people as expected. It was a disaster at the box office. Although the film was a flop, it won the National Award for Special Effects that year.
Kamal Haasan starrer Pushpak and Nayagan were recently re-released in Tamil Nadu. The film was re-released in very few theatres.
Indian 2 is the much awaited Kamal Haasan film. Directed by Shankar, the film is a sequel to the 2001 film Indian.
