The military, health and judicial authorities of Kankan resumed this Wednesday, November 22, 2023, the hunt once morest the illicit sale of medicines in the region.

At the Djaka market, one of the largest trading centers, agents accompanied by bailiffs broke down store doors to seize medicines. During this operation, a large stock of medicines was discovered at the Djaka market.

According to the prefectural director of health, Bafodé Condé, it was the governor who gave instructions to come and seal all the shops containing illicit pharmaceutical products.

“This morning, we are in this dynamic. We have started to break down the doors and the medicines that we have not found, we are in the process of taking them away and making them available to the justice system,” insists the prefectural director of Health.
