Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Karim Benzema arrived in the Saudi city of Jeddah, on Wednesday, from the Spanish capital, Madrid, to join the ranks of the Jeddah club, which he recently joined, with a 3-year contract until 2026.
The French striker was received with flowers by the management of the “Tigers” team, and the Golden Ball winner wore a scarf bearing the club’s logo, and he also drank Saudi coffee.
And the Jeddah Union Club account commented, via Twitter, on a picture showing Benzema drinking coffee, saying: “Sawli Al-Kif and Arhuli from Al-Dallah Al-Ashqar coffee treats the head, so it will be saved.”
And Saudi press reports stated that the “Tigers” team will hold a ceremony to present Karim Benzema, Thursday, at the Radioactive Jewel Stadium, the team’s stronghold.
And it was decided that the French striker would wear the number 9 shirt with the club, provided that he would represent it starting from the 2023/2024 season.
