Interior Minister Gerhard Karner visited the police operation at the cup final in Klagenfurt on April 30, 2023. Units from all over Austria on site – a total of almost 1,000 employees
Vienna (OTS) – “The Austrian cup final is one of the highlights of a football year,” said Interior Minister Gerhard Karner during a local inspection on April 30, 2023, during which he got an idea of the police operation during the ÖFB cup final in Klagenfurt.
“I would like to thank all the police officers involved for the meticulous preparations that have been made over the past few weeks,” emphasized the Minister of the Interior.
Almost 1,000 police officers are on duty at the cup final in Klagenfurt. In addition to traffic police officers, service dog units and operational units from Lower Austria, Vienna, Styria, Salzburg, Burgenland and Tyrol support their colleagues from Carinthia. A contingent from WEGA and three drone teams are also deployed.
