The Kashiwa Reysol team qualified to meet Kawasaki Frontale in the final of the Emperor of Japan Football Cup following both achieved victory on Sunday in the semi-finals.

Kashiwa Reysol defeated its host, Ruaso Kumamoto, 4-0, and Kawasaki defeated its host, Avispa Fukuoka, 4-2. In the first match, Kashiwa Reysol won over its host, Ruasu Kumamoto, with four goals scored by Sachiro Toshima, Aichi Katayama, Mao Hosoya, and Tomoki Takamine in the ninth, 45th, 54th, and 90th minutes.

In the second match, the first half ended in a 1-1 draw, with Kawasaki taking the lead through Kazuya Yamamura in the fifth minute, then Takeshi Kanamori equalized for Lavispa Fukuoka in the 42nd minute.

In the second half, Kawasaki scored three consecutive goals through Kento Tachibanada, Marcio da Silva Barboza and Leandro Damiao in the 53rd, 70th and 81st minutes, then Rigo Tsurun scored the second goal for the visiting team in the final seconds.
