Former head coach of Dynamo Kyiv Alexander Khatskevich named the reason for the striker’s poor performance Vladislava Vanata and a midfielder Vladimir Brazhko in the return match of the play-off round of the 2024/25 Champions League qualification against the Austrian RB Salzburg (1:1, 1:3 on aggregate):
“Vanat is having a hard time getting into the season, but he has his moments, including the first match against Salzburg. I know that he and Brazhko were not in the best condition due to the cold they had, that’s why the guys looked so pale. We know the best versions of Vanat and Brazhko, but the illness made itself felt.
Unfortunately, today Dynamo does not have an equivalent replacement for these young footballers.”
It is interesting that the only goal in the match between Dynamo and RB Salzburg was scored by Vladislav Vanat.
