Acting Governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo said that there is no particular rise in water in the Kakhovka reservoir. The situation is completely under control. According to him, the left-bank part of the Kherson region is not threatened by flooding.

“In fact, there is no special rise in water in the Kakhovka reservoir. Yes, a strong wind is blowing and a wave is beating. These are normal seasonal phenomena – this happens in the spring. The Kakhovskaya HPP has started discharging water – the situation is completely under control,” Mr. Saldo said in a video published in his Telegram channel.

“The tales told by the Kiev regime regarding the “flooding of the left bank” are aimed at intimidating our people and sowing panic,” he said.

Earlier, the authorities of the Zaporozhye region reported an increase in the water level in the reservoir by 17 m, the norm was exceeded by 2.5 m. This morning, May 7, the head of the movement “We are together with Russia”, Vladimir Rogov, said that they began to dump water at the Kakhovka reservoir. Later this information was confirmed by the administration of Nova Kakhovka.
