Korean auto manufacturer “Kia” (KIA) has stopped bookings for one of its vehicles following announcing a price cut of over Rs 15 lakh.
Lucky Motor Corporation, the local representative of Kia, on April 29 announced a sudden reduction in the price of the “Kia Stonic” by Rs 15 lakh 13 thousand, following which a large number of people rushed to the showroom.
However, on the night of May 1, Lucky Motors Corporation announced that further bookings for the Stonic have been closed for the time being.
The company explained the reason for this in its statement and wrote that due to the large number of bookings, the company is bound to deliver the said vehicle by September 2024.
According to the announcement, the company has completed the booking for the delivery of Stonic by September this year, and according to the order of booking, the delivery of Stonic has been started from this month i.e. May.
