Vienna – Labor Minister Martin Kocher (ÖVP) rejected the call for an end to seasonal quotas in tourism on Tuesday evening. “I can’t imagine a complete abolition,” he explained in the “ZiB2” interview. The quotas “make perfect sense” in order to have a certain amount of control. Kocher also pointed out that the quotas had been increased “massively” in recent years and the permanent seasonal worker regulation had been introduced.
